About Me.

Shaina Slotchiver is a writer, director, and storyteller based in Los Angeles. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, she graduated in 2025 from the University of Alabama with a degree in Creative Media, focusing on Screenwriting, Directing, and Editing, along with minors in Public Relations and Communication Studies.

During her time at the University of Alabama, Shaina worked on several student film productions, taking on various roles such as writer, director, assistant director, editor, script supervisor, and audio recordist. Her short script, Kochav Yam, earned her an Award of Excellence at the 2025 BEA Student Media Awards.

In addition to her academic experience, Shaina has gained valuable hands-on industry experience. She has worked as a Production Assistant on several feature films, including Neighborhood Watch, The Patient, and Kill Him Til He’s Dead, all of which are in various stages of post-production. She also interned at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023 and 2024, where she worked in programming and marketing. Currently, Shaina is a remote intern at Halcyon Content, where she is responsible for script coverage, research, and client relations.

Shaina is passionate about telling compelling stories and collaborating with creative teams to bring ideas to life. As she transitions to Los Angeles, she is eager to continue growing in the entertainment industry and exploring new opportunities.
